Blue Herons commonly perch on floats and anchor lines at fish farms to feed on baitfish and are to be found most every morning and evening on most sites.   Rookies and roosting trees are often found near by too.  Tangle-proof bird covers over the pens, held tight by pen railings, prevent adverse interactions with these large birds.
