Anchor line heavily colonized with tube worms and a few anemones being hauled in preparation for cutting out of sections for sampling. Tube worms (sabellids) are the “climax community” of net pen bio-colonization, out competing other large organism over time. Many other smaller organisms colonize around and on the tube worms, resulting in widely diverse colony of invertebrates not unlike that found in rocky, high current velocity areas such as Deception Pass. |
